Sunday Luncheons

 Everyone is welcome to our  Church Luncheons!  We have these about every week after each morning worship service (unless otherwise noted).  However,  from May - August, they will be held once/month.   This is a great time of breaking bread & fellowship with one another.  Everyone is encouraged to invite others to church & lunch!  ALL ARE WELCOME!!  We announce in the weekly bulletins (& online) what the weekly “theme” will be … just for fun!  Feel free to bring a dish (doesn't have to go with the theme),  if you want to share, but not required!  What a wonderful opportunity to show the love of Jesus to others!
  • 6/27 - June will be held on Friday evening at Church Camp this year, along with the Birthdays & Anniversaries Celebration! 
  • 7/20 - July - (Theme TBD) - Birthdays & Anniversaries Celebration!
  • August - (Date & Theme TBD)
**Please Note:  For the months of May through August, we will only be having church luncheons once per month, which we will be celebrating birthdays & anniversaries at.  We will resume our weekly luncheons in September!

Youth Cafe Specials

 The Youth Cafe begins each Wednesday evening from 5:30 pm - 6:20 pm before Family Night**.   Every week, there are pizza, nachos, soda & candy bars available for $1.00 each.  Also, on most evenings, there is a weekly "special" available for $2.00/per person (while supplies last).  Below are the scheduled specials:
  • 5/21 - BBQ Chicken
  • 5/28 - Hamburgers w/ Chips
**Please note:  There will be no “Specials” during the summer months (June – August).  They will resume in September.  However, there will still be Pizza, Nachos, Soda & Candy Bars for sale for $1/each.

Upcoming Items and select details

  • 5/12 - Food Donations for "The Rock" - (Week of 5/12) - Albert Lea Assembly of God has committed providing snacks for the youth at Youth for Christ's The Rock on the 2nd week of each month  Anyone is welcome to join us in this ministry!  Suggested items include cookies & bars (homemade or purchased), fruit, vegetables, chips (individual packages) or treats that kids enjoy. You may bring in your items  directly at The Rock after 10:00 am, Monday – Friday of that week.  If the Lord places it on your heart to donate, it will be greatly appreciated!
  • 5/19 - Crafting with Girlfriends - (Monday, 1:00 pm) - This is a monthly activity for women of all ages to come together to tap into our God-given creativity! There is no skill level required here, just a desire for fellowship with other women and a willingness to giggle just a little bit! It is always a blessed time to gather together! (NOTE:  This is the last one until September!)
  • 5/25 - No Luncheon or Evening Prayer - (Due to Memorial  weekend)
  • 6/6-7 - Single Mom's Retreat - Ladies interested in attending the Single Mom’s Retreat, at Lake Geneva Christian Center campgrounds. Please contact Gwen Plantage or Amanda Quigley for details.

  • 6/14 - Men's Breakfast - (Saturday, 8:00 am) - On the second Saturday of each month the Men of ALAG gather together at the Perkins!  Come and join us men for a time of food and fellowship!
  • 6/15 - Father's Day - (No Evening Prayer)
  • 6/18-21 - Kids Camp - We are excited about our kids going to camp this year!  We have wonderful leaders taking our boys and girls to the same camp this year; be praying they are impacted by God this summer!
  • 6/29 - BGMC Offering - (Sunday, 10:00 am) - The kids of ALAG participate in the Boys & Girls Missionary Challenge every fifth Sunday of the year. They will be taking up an offering for this wonderful way of supporting missionaries around the world! Be sure to bring your loose change and/or dollars so you all can participate in this awesome ministry!
